Our Mission

Forward Focus wants to enrich and enhance the academic and social development of at-risk youth by training them in the skills needed to improve their ability to achieve educational, economic, and social success.

Our Organization

Forward Focus Youth Enrichment Center was founded by youth advocate, Marqus Stone, as a mission-driven organization to improve the lives of young people by giving them the tools and direction needed to identify issues of importance to them and develop plans for addressing those issues. We do this using the 3 E’S; our three (3) primary focus components, which are:

Youth Enrichment: Provide the instruction and assistance necessary to enhance the youth’s academic, economic, and personal development, as well as their physical wellness through training programs, study groups, workshops, and other mentoring opportunities.

Youth Empowerment: Introduce the youth to situations that challenge them to assume leadership roles by serving on the Youth Focus Council, and participating in the planning and organization of events and activities.

Youth Engagement: Encourage the youth to apply what they’ve learned in their daily lives by employing them to complete action projects, including but not limited to academic service, community service, and various opportunities for work and career exploration.

Who We Are

Forward Focus Youth Enrichment Center is fortunate to have a diverse leadership team with the combined work experience of nearly three decades in the areas of youth and family services.

Together they provide a dedicated, committed staff with the direction and support they need to carry out the mission-driven task of building today's youth to be tomorrow's leaders.

News: November 19, 2008, Kismet Evans, Vice President/CPO is awarded the 2008 California Peace Prize Award for her work and commitment to helping youth lead safe, responsible, non-violent lives. Evans is one of only three people in the entire state chosen for this award by The California Wellness Foundation this year.
